Topeka’s Foulston Siefkin LLP Moves To Renovated Historic Downtown Building

TOPEKA, KAN. – Law firm Foulston Siefkin LLP’s Topeka office recently moved to a new location in the heart of downtown Topeka. The renovated space is a new look inside a historic 120-year-old building located at 822 S. Kansas Avenue, Suite 200. The firm’s team of approximately 15 lawyers and staff wanted to stay in downtown Topeka and is pleased to remain on Kansas Avenue.

“We wanted to stay downtown, where we’ve been for nearly 30 years,” says Foulston’s partner-in-charge Jeremy Graber. “It’s an exciting time to be part of the city’s revitalization. Even during the pandemic, we know Topeka’s future – particularly downtown – is bright, so we didn’t hesitate to complete the work and move. With the continued focus on Momentum 2022, completion of Evergy Plaza, the addition of the Innovation Campus, and a promising start-up community, Topeka’s potential for opportunity and growth is boundless.”

Foulston worked with building owners Jim Klausman, Butch Eaton, and their team to retain the building’s historical character with tall ceilings and doors and extensive wood trim, yet create a contemporary working environment with the latest technology and amenities. The building, home to Brew Bank on the first floor, is in Topeka’s South Kansas Avenue Commercial Historic District – one of seven National Historic Register Districts in the city. It is a two-story two-part commercial brick building constructed in 1900 and within walking distance of both the county and federal courthouses and the State Capitol.

Founded in 1919, Foulston recently celebrated the firm’s 100^th anniversary. Its Topeka office opened in 1991, followed by a Kansas City office in 2001.
